BOSTON COURT SEEKS PERFORMERS FOR 2011 ARTTALK

– San Gabriel Valley’s Largest Spoken Word Festival-

PASADENA, CA (October 2010 – Performance proposals are now being accepted for the fourth annual ARTTalk. ARTTalk is scheduled to take place at Boston Court Performing Arts Center on Saturday, March 12th, 2011 from 11:00am until 5:00pm.  Participants will be allotted one half hour to perform a piece that focuses on Words and Communication.  All performances must be acoustical in nature.  Boston Court will provide general lighting and no rehearsal time is allotted. Previous performance genres include film, storytelling, singing, and poetry. Participants will be provided a small stipend.  The deadline for proposals is December 3, 2010.

ARTTalk is San Gabriel Valley’s largest spoken word events. The yearly event features avant guarde performances showcasing grammy award winners, literary authors, storytelling, music, dance and more. ARTTalk represents a cross-section of artists exploring the spoken disciplines featuring some of Los Angeles most established and emerging performers all tied to the theme of Communication. ARTTalk is produced by the Playhouse District Association and Boston Court. ARTTalk is made possible in part by Pasadena Arts & Culture Commission and the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division.  The yearly event takes place the second Saturday in March.
