So this week at Boston Court there’s been a lot of planning, chatter, and buzz about the upcoming Boston Court benefit, Backstage Bacchanalia @ Boston Court.
There will be lots of things to do, starting off with a self-guided tour of the Boston Court facilities, with signs posted in various places about the history of Boston Court, or theatrical history. We researched the origins and fun facts about theatrical superstitions, traditions, and mechanics and composed little blurbs that will be posted throughout the theater. We’ve also looked through the original blueprints for the construction of the theater, and marked out which pages we thought looked interesting and informative enough to be put up on the night of the benefit. It was fascinating to look at these blueprints and see the original designs and ideas of the building that we are working in and creating art in right now. Out in the parking lot directly behind the theater, after attendees explore the Boston Court facilities, there will be live music, wine tasting, and hors d’oeuvres.
This event looks like it’s going to be a great night! We recommend that fellow thespians or thespian-lovers of Pasadena make it over to Boston Court for an informative and enjoyable evening!
